BRUXELLES - The Akaso flagship store is found at the heart of the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, Europe's first and probably most elegant gallery inaugurated in 1847. A monumetal passage covered by a glass roof and better known as the Galerie de la Reine and Galerie du Roi.
The visionnary architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar conceived this gallery at the age of 26, creating a 'village' uniting theaters, luxury and gift shops, restaurants, cafés, offices and private appartments. Today the gallery is still that same village where more than 800 people work and live.
The Galerie de la Reine is where the Belgian chocolate praline was invented, and where the first motion picture was broadcasted in Belgium. On its 170th anniversary, the Galerie du Roi assigned its prestigious nr 1 location to the Akaso flagship boutique – and is hence once again a place where new visions come to life.
